Dr. Ciphrah is a scholar, scientist, teacher, and entrepreneur.
She works for the University of South Carolina as the Director of Assessment and Accreditation and Clinical Assistant Professor in the College of Education
In her not so former life, she is diva of the pageantry circuit; she is Ms. Palmetto Pride Plus America 2017
Regina E. Ciphrah, PhD is a multidimensional woman in that she is a scholar, scientist, teacher, and entrepreneur. An alumna of the University of South Carolina, she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry in 2002, Master of Teaching degree in Secondary Science Education in 2003, and PhD in Integrative Biology in 2013. Her professional experiences as an educator span over sixteen years and include employment as a public school teacher, professional development facilitator, program and organizational evaluator, state education agency program coordinator, teacher education faculty member, and higher education administrator. Dr. Ciphrah is currently employed at her alma mater where she assesses how well the College of Education prepares educators to meet the needs of today’s learners and she teaches organizational change and secondary science methods courses. Aside from working in an area she loves, Dr. Ciphrah serves her community as a member on the Board of Directors of the SC African American Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Ciphrah finds additional balance in life through loving her husband, family, and furbaby.
